CollegeInvest manages and administers the state’s 529 college savings program which includes the exemption to state income taxes for contributions to program accounts.  We are a not-for-profit division of the Colorado Department of Higher Education, with the goal of helping Coloradans achieve their higher education goals. In addition to managing these tax advantaged 529 college savings plans, we provide expert information and simple financial planning tools, which will help anyone who wants to go to college.

We currently provide 4 different savings Plans to meet the varying needs of Colorado families ranging from mutual funds and age-based investment options, to an FDIC-insured plan, and a stable value plan that protects principal and guarantees a minimum rate of return.

CollegeInvest is committed to be being the trusted resource for the education of 529 college savings plans in the state of Colorado. We currently offer 5 different CPE courses, free of charge, at our downtown Denver office. We can also make them available on a limited basis at your location if you have a group of 8 or more.

Each course is geared towards expanding your knowledge so you know when 529 plans are an option for your clients, given their individual situations. We’ll cover the most common sets of issues and questions that surround these types of college savings accounts. These courses are accredited for CPA, CFP and Insurance professionals.
