National Registry Summit Returns to Music City
Jul 01, 2022We hope that you will “Come Together” with NASBA’s National Registry team for the 2022 National Registry Summit in Nashville, TN, on September 20-21, 2022.
The purpose of the National Registry Summit is to provide Sponsors with information on trends in adult learning, emerging technologies and innovations in learning, and information and resources to assist in the implementation of the Statement on Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs (Standards) in an environment that encourages sharing and networking.
The 2022 Registry Summit agenda focuses on resources and topics to help make learning more interactive and engaging for both in-person and virtual events. The Summit will also feature presentations from NASBA on recent trends in state legislation and regulatory rulemaking concerning CPE for CPAs as well as an update on the CPA Evolution initiative.
Matt Havens will kick off the Summit with “Stop Acting Your Age!” In this keynote, you will learn a simpler way of looking at your own generational picture; understand the key cultural, technological and social changes that have conspired to create a disconnect between team members; and walk away with several immediate application strategies to address and eliminate problems caused by the disconnect.
The first day of the Summit will also mark the return of the “Sponsor in the Spotlight” feature. This year, we are excited to showcase LumiQ. LumiQ is a podcast app where engaging conversations with business leaders count as verifiable CPE for CPAs. Founder and CEO, Michael Kravshik, will share the story of LumiQ, the process for complying with the Standards and how this learning is being received in the marketplace.
There will also be a session from NASBA that will provide an update on the status of the proposed revisions to the Standards and highlight the more significant changes proposed.
The second day will begin with keynote speaker, Cindy Huggett, on “Trends in Training: Creating Successful Hybrid Learning Events.” In this interactive session, you will learn trends and best practices for simultaneous in-person and virtual learning environments. You will discover what it takes to hold an effective simultaneous delivery method learning event and discover lessons learned from organizations who have implemented this event format.
The Summit will wrap with the NASBA National Registry staff. We will highlight the areas in which we most frequently observe non-compliance with the Standards when reviewing applications and desk audits, and our recommendations and best practices to address those areas.
Mark your calendars now and register for the 2022 National Registry Summit today! The National Registry team looks forward to welcoming everyone to Nashville!
