During the process of the last revisions cycle to the Statement on Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs (Standards), the CPE Standards Working Group (Working Group) recognized that advancements in technology, the transformative impact of AI and other innovations in learning and learning modalities seem to be blurring the lines of how the instructional delivery methods for CPE programs are currently defined in the Standards. The Working Group believes that it is time to holistically reconsider the instructional delivery methods and challenge what those might be in the future. 

In April 2024, a small task force of the Working Group met in Nashville, TN, to begin the initial deliberations and discussion on the Delivery Method project. The task force has met virtually in May and July and is making progress on a proposed recommendation for the Working Group’s consideration. More information will be shared as the project unfolds.
