2024 National Registry Summit
Oct 23, 2024The 2024 National Registry Summit was held at the Hutton Hotel in Nashville, TN, from September 17-18. This year’s theme was ‘Striking a Chord: CPE Reimagined with AI, Engagement and Innovation.’ Speakers and exhibitors came together for attendees to engage with and learn more about artificial intelligence (AI) and how continued professional education (CPE) is evolving with this technology.
Day one of the Summit featured Opening Keynote Courtney Clark who spoke on Revisionary Thinking – Adapting to Change. Clark’s presentation engaged audience members in revisionary thinking exercises with props to encourage them to become revisionary thinkers. Attendees also heard from Erika Bialek of EisnerAmper on Authoring Accessibility, Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath, Ph.D., M.Ed., on Digital Technology and Transfer – Moving Knowledge and Skills Between Contexts, as well as Dr. Matthew Hays and Ann Lerner of Amplifire on “Does Good Learning Feel Good?”.
After listening to speakers and enjoying lunch, attendees concluded day one with breakout sessions, exhibitor time and a cocktail hour.
Keynote speaker Myra Roldan was featured on day two of the Summit and spoke on The AI Frontier: From Uncertainty to Opportunity. Attendees then received updates on the Delivery Method Project from NASBA’s Director of Professional Standards and Research Jessica Luttrull and closed out the conference with final remarks from the Summit’s moderator, Alfonzo Alexander, President and CEO of Alexander Success Group.
