Attendees had the opportunity to listen to several eye-opening sessions at this year’s Registry Summit, including one hosted by Rita Sehgal, Learning and CPE Compliance Leader, Risk Management Americas, EY, and Nick Jones, Venture Leader, EY Foundry at EY. They discussed the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the education and learning sectors in their session titled AI-mazing Adventures in Learning: Unlocking the Magic of Artificial Intelligence. 

Sehgal and Jones guided attendees through the AI-powered conversational skills simulation course EY ConvoCoach TM, patented by EY. The course qualifies for CPE credit and utilizes AI as a built-in coach for training and learning modules. This approach to learning leverages generative AI technology with scalable verbal practice to drive skill growth in learners. 

When a learner starts a module, there are materials for them to read through which leads them to a prompt. The prompt requires them to submit a video response of themselves that is analyzed by AI technology. Once the submission is reviewed, the learner will receive AI-generated feedback and metrics. It will tell the learner where and why they need to improve and even provide feedback on how fast or slowly they spoke, and so on.  

Jones expressed that this type of framework takes learning to the next level because it provides insight rather than just a pass or fail. He said that it fills the gap in conversational skills that conventional online learning presents. Organizations will also be able to add an exam to the end of a module so learners can go through training and testing in one place.
