This course provides an introduction and overview of accounting terms, principles, concepts, and standards and practical application. This course focuses on the fundamentals of federal accounting through the U.S. Government Standard General Ledger and helps participants apply accounting principles and practice transactions through the budget cycle. This course helps organizations comply with the relevant laws and regulations, including the Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS) and OMB Circular A-136.
