The Equity Pickup (EPU) Business Event (BEs) and Active Template (ATs) allow users to automatically create journal entries in the Investran Accounting module related to the equity method of accounting. These system automations seamlessly roll-up the profit and loss activity of a fund's ownership structure in a single process, which is establish in the system by the relationships between target and source Legal Entities. Investran records an Unrealized Appreciation/(Depreciation) journal entry in the target entity’s books, maintaining the character of the profit and loss allocated in the source entity.
